Water shortage at KU

I want to draw the attention of concern authorities towards water shortage at the Dr Feroz Ahmed Institute of Mass Communication, University of Karachi.

The shortage has been tormenting the students for several months. The unavailability of clean drinking water is also causing distress among the students. It is really unbearable to live without water for several hours during these hot days. Several months have passed yet no proper action has been taken by the administration.

It is quite unfortunate that a department which has been constructed with an over all cost of billions of rupees, students under the roof of it are unable to get water for drinking and washing purposes.

Not only the water shortage in the department, but also there is no proper sitting arrangements for the students. The sofas are in such a bad condition as they are not able for sitting. Students who are waiting for the classes standing all the time.

Despite all these irritating things, the department no doubt has wonderful architecture and has beautiful structure. If these problems are over come then the department of mass communication is one of the best departments among all the departments in Karachi university.

Now come to the water shortage, the shortage of water is not only in the mass communication department but also in the arts lobby, the whole arts lobby is facing this problem especially in evening including the Sociology department, Economics department and International Relations department. Most of the time water is unavailable.

I demand the Vice Chancellor of the university to look into the matter and do the needful.
