I am doing my major in Mass Communication. When I enrolled my name in the department, I was given options to select subsidiary subjects. Selecting International relations had been the bests of best decision in my life. Otherwise other subsidiary subjects have been quite boring. My experience of being a student of International Relations had been amazing as it a need of the hour.
The reason behind my positivity about International relations is that even the classes show that yes its IR department. Big boards of world maps, photos of different IR bodies, administrator office that is always open for students, practical approach of maintaining student’s concentration, perfect greenery outside the class, perfect timings after 6 o’clock and what not…..???
Talking about the faculty there, I am always impressed by IR teachers. Among all the different teachers of IR, my favorite is Sir Faisal, being so young and highly informative about politics and historical regimes. I would say he lets the best out of students. The approach that he had appointed is rhetoric which involves student to make their statements while class discussion.
There are other teachers who are self-obsessed and think that they are the ones who could be correct and student are born to be scolded… L
I want other departments to reflect their subjects. Mass Communication department’s walls must be walled with posters and newspapers. It is so boring in Mass Communication despite it is a newly constructed building.
International relations department has the expertise of experienced teachers like Dr. Munis Ahmer, Dr. Mutahir and Dr. Talat Wizarat. After them, Sir Fahimuddin is a trumendous teacher, he has gathered students from different departments and promoted reading and writing. Hes an excellent and inspiring person.
ReplyDeleteAs far as Mass Communication is concerned, theres a lot to be done and should be done.

ReplyDeleteYou are right the IR department is very well maintain and has the almost perfect study environment...plus it has a reasonably good management. The subject itself is very interesting and informative...it’s like a knock on the head... "hello, welcome to the real world...its messed up and there is a lot of dirty politics and diplomacy around....so just watch out" ...
ReplyDeleteI don't agree with you about all other subsidiary courses being boring...as i think economics is a good and interesting subject. I don't know about others but my economics teacher, Sir Faizan was really good and extremely helpful.
