Commonly referred to as the Mother of Education, University of Karachi provides the quality of education second to none. Historical look at the institution from the day of inception enlightens us with the performance of its sons and daughters in the various walks of life. Overtime, the university has enhanced its ability to enlighten the ever-thirsty youth to quench their thirst for knowledge. It is mentionable that not only the faculty is outstanding, vis-à-vis, the facilities provided by the university have also improved, be it the classes, establishment of dedicated departments and/or upgrading of the laboratories.
While the institution focuses on the increase in the facilities for the students in education paradigm, there is still something that is felt missing within these walls. On our way in and out of the university, we take the time to glance at the Botanical Garden locked within its own walls reserved for those few who are privileged. What if I as a student want to spend some time to refresh myself in the natural beauty? The answer is simple. “Have you earned this privilege?”
“No!”, but what if I want to? The answer to this question is simple. I (including ever student of the university) have to prove that I have earned the privilege. This doesn’t mean that I will be reaping the fruits from the yields of others, rather, planting and cultivating my own.
Yes. I as a student should play my part and make the university an even more beautiful place to study. This can be achieved through simple means. If I am able to persuade myself that this is not just an institution that provides knowledge for our financial betterment, but also our moral betterment as well, I can initiate and set an example for the others to follow.
This is my university and I will make all possible efforts that this place becomes more beautiful with every passing day. One small pebble in this pond of stagnant water might create the ripples that will result in the involvement of every single student in the betterment and beautification of this mother institution called University of Karachi.
Can only admire the writer's enthusiasm.
ReplyDeleteIt`s not about admiring. What i felt i wrote. i think Beautification will help students to refresh themselves.
