It was my first day, at K.U after the recent long and beautiful Ramazan vacations of 2010. I was so excited because I was missing my department (MASS COMMUNICATION) and my friends as well. I reached at stop but not single point was there. Then, I travelled through bus and reached Maskan gate of university.
I glanced at my watch,” Oh no! its 3:30 ”. I was getting late for my English class. I asked for the lift as other girls did. A handsome man stopped his Vitz in front of the girls who were waiting for lift . When, we all get settled in that car. It started moving towards pharmacy department.
I was sitting at the door side. I was looking through the window suddenly I noticed that the overwhelming greenery.” Oh my God “, I was wondering, “What happened to my university “. My university turned up into a forest.
The grass was huge. There were ponds and lakes after rainfall. Those areas where there were some little herbs and shrubs grew up into bigger plants. All of a sudden, car stops in front of my department. The voice of that gentleman shook me up,” Here is your department miss”. I opened the door and stepped out from the car. I was feeling so sad because our entire plantation was destroyed by rain. I remember which we did during Earth Day festival.
There should be one or two gardener/s that looks after the gardens of their particular department. Maintenance is must. If we do not care about our surrounding things, that are presenting us. We will destroy our image. This behavior also takes away our prestige.
Forget about the whole university. Try to maintain the garden of your department first. Begin with a single step and you may eventually end up doing something really good.
ReplyDeleteYeah the grass at mass communication's garden looks so bad! Needs a "nazr-e-karam"...
