All depends on mood

Entering Karachi University from Maskan gate by car, bike or rickshaw is really a big deal. The reason why I am saying this is because of the moody guards and the rangers guys standing at Maskan gate who think of themselves as the Minister of education if they are in bad mood.

The proper method of entering KU through car or bike from any gate is to show them the gate pass. The gate pass is not a difficult task to get but though, sadly only 25% of the students have that (25% of those students who come to KU either by car or bike). My question is that how the remaining 75% enters KU? Obviously they don’t have vehicles which have got wings, so that we can imagine that they have got an air way for those vehicles. But talking sense, the remaining 75% of the students surely have got either good relations with those guards, or a may be a girl is driving or maybe a guy is driving but the car is loaded with girls, the guard does not stop them. When there are only boys or a single boy they are stopped by them and asked for the pass only when there stands a head officer otherwise those boys find themselves lucky and are allowed in because the guards are in good mood and did not even bother to ask that car. Sometimes girls are also stopped because of some senior officer, but allowed when show some sympathy and love.

I am not against those ladies or those strong PR guys but rules for all otherwise rules for none. And why do they stop only when they have some senior officer sitting around or they are pissed off with something. Why are they not performing their duties sincerely? And if they allow someone without a gate pass then they atleast should check the valid students ID card or something authentic. That’s again against the procedure but atleast they have a check on that person.
